Lartigue in motion

I’ve just noticed a 3½-minute video of the original Lartigue on the British Pathé website. Here is my page about the modern recreation, which is well worth a visit. The other monorail by the Shannon River is covered here.

    Many thanks for sharing that one with me, it really was a fascinating little line, the reproduction museum loco with its diesel engine has nothing on the real thing, still we must be thankful for it being there to remind us all of the most unusual railway Ireland ever had.
