Useless info: John Weaving had a 20ft boat called The African Queen. My parents built a boat, still afloat, I think, called Inis Cealtra, long before W.I. named one of theirs that.
I wonder if anyone remembers the Shannon River Floatels, run by Ronnie Kearsley in the 60s.
The Heritage Boat Association book *Fine Lines — Clear Water* has an article about them, drawing on information I had collected; I even spoke to Ron Kearsley for the purpose. bjg
